“Navigating the Intelligent Age forGlobal University Excellence”
The UTM University Presidents Forum 2025 (UTM-UPF 2025) seeks to establish a distinguished platform for sharing exemplary practices and disseminating advanced strategies among global university leaders under the theme, “Navigating the Intelligent Age for Global University Excellence.” The initiative is dedicated to fostering innovative solutions that proactively address emerging trends and effectively tackle the critical challenges faced by the higher education sector. The agenda is to bring together global university leaders to examine the roles and responsibilities of higher education in developing nations. UTM-UPF 2025 features a unique Presidents’ Summit for participating university leaders, hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

NALI 2025: NEW ACADEMIA LEARNING INNOVATION 2025
“Accelerating Innovation in Teaching and Learning with AI”
NALI 2025 is an annual knowledge-sharing event organised by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) through its Centre for Advancement in Digital and Flexible Learning (UTM CDex). The event is held in collaboration with UTM Global Connect, with UTM International and Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Johor (JPNJ) as joint organisers, and supported by Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim (IPGKTI). NALI stands for New Academia Learning Innovation—a comprehensive framework designed to promote innovative teaching and learning practices in education. The framework emphasises a student-centred and blended learning philosophy, integrating multiple learning modes and resources to achieve entrepreneurial academia outcomes. Since its inception in 2018, NALI has grown into a prominent educational platform. The event features a wide range of activities, including keynote and plenary sessions led by renowned experts in teaching and learning, as well as knowledge-sharing workshops that foster professional exchange among academics and practitioners.

INATEX 2025: 27th Industrial Art and Technology Exhibition & Competition (INATEX) 2025
“Harnessing AI for a Resilient and Sustainable Future“
INATEX 2025 is a premier research and development (R&D) product exhibition organised by the UTM Innovation & Commercialisation Centre (ICC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Held annually, it showcases cutting-edge inventions and innovations by researchers, offering a platform for public, industry, and academic engagement. The exhibition also serves as a competition, with awards for outstanding R&D products. Since its inception in 1998, INATEX has evolved into a flagship event promoting impactful research and cross-border collaboration. The 27th edition in 2025 will be part of the UTM Global Connect program, highlighting international linkages through exhibitions and networking. For the first time, INATEX 2025 welcomes participants from other universities and schools, fostering innovation across diverse academic communities.

D-8 NPRI SUMMIT 2025: 4th D-8 Network of Pioneers in Research and Innovation (D-8 NPRI) Summit 2025
“Driving Regional Innovation, Shaping Sustainable Global Solutions”
The 4th D-8 NPRI Summit, scheduled for 6th to 8th October 2025 at Persada Johor International Convention Centre and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), is poised to become one of the most impactful platforms for regional collaboration in science, innovation, and commercialisation within the D-8 community. Bringing together leading academics, researchers, innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Türkiye, the summit will feature the D-8 NPRI Leaders’ Meeting, innovation showcases, high-level policy dialogues, and research-to-market networking sessions. In an effort to maximise value and synergy, the summit will be held concurrently with three major events: the University Presidents Forum (UPF), INATEX (Industrial Art & Technology Exhibition), and NALI (New Academia Learning Innovation), creating a vibrant and integrated ecosystem for knowledge exchange. Altogether, the summit stands as a timely and transformative opportunity to align science, technology, and education with inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth across the D-8 region and beyond.
